On the highly anticipated, MTV Wonder Girls Season 4 broadcasted today.

Wonder Girls stayed till 3am to make a live phone call from New York to MTV organizers in Malaysia to discuss about their performance for MTV World Stage 2010.

The MTV representative said during the phone call,

“…each of you will be in one cage each. The cage is going to be quite a glittery-goth type of cage, not the jail looking type of cage…”

Seems like the girls are preparing a little surprise up for all their WonderFul fans at this year’s MTV World Stage in Malaysia! Will our girls emerge from cages as a surprise? or will our girls be doing a remixed version of 2 Different Tears?

Hate them with a passion or love them to bits, it doesn’t matter what you think of Korean pop sensation Wonder Girls. “I want nobody, nobody but you” and the dance steps that matches the lyrics are annoyingly stuck in your head and you know it.

The heat for Wonder Girls is still very much burning strong as nobody but this girl group could have spread their popularity from Asia to the Unit­ed States, marking them as the first Korean group to have made it into the Billboard Hot 100 with the super catchy single Nobody.

After slight changes in the line-up, the current members are Sun-Ye, Ye-Eun, Yu-Bin, So-hee, and group new­bie Hye-rim.

Previous member Hyuna had initially left Wonder Girls due to a health problem and has since joined a new Korean girl group named 4 Minutes while Sun Mi left the group to pursue her academic career although she is still considered as part of the group by fans. Wonder Girls management company JYP has since stated that she is welcome back anytime to join the girls as the sixth member.

The single Nobody proved so pop­ular, that American fans have posted many different remakes of the songs on the Internet, which caught the girls by surprise.

“I guess no matter where you come from, since the day the Internet was born, we can search and explore any genres of music and it really doesn’t matter if you are a Korean or an American,” said So Hee.

“We missed home a lot while in America. Growing up in Korea all my life, it proved a little difficult trying to adapt to the American culture. But we got used to it after a problem and has since joined a new Korean girl group named 4 Minutes while Sun Mi left the group to pursue her academic career although she is still considered as part of the group by fans. After ending their run in the US, the girls returned to South Korea to pro­mote their Korean version of their lat­est single 2 Different Tears in May (the single has also been recorded in Chi­nese and English), and next up for the girls will of course be the highly antici­pated MTV World Stage 2010.

If you want to catch some of that Ko­rean fever as well, remember to catch the girls on MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2010 at Sunway Lagoon Re­sort on July 31. The outdoor concert will also feature live performances from Katy Perry, Tokio Hotel and Bunkface.

If Mnet’s Made in Wonder Girls is not enough wonder reality for you; MTV Korea announced on July 26th that their hit reality show MTV Wonder Girls is back with a fourth season.

MTV Wonder Girls Season 4 will be introducing the girl’s activities and lives in the U.S, including their home in New York and practice studio.

The series will also take us to the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia on July 31st, where the Wonder Girls will perform in front of more than 15,000 attendees as representative singers of Korea, along known artists like Kary Perry and Tokyo Hotel. Not only we’ll be able to see their hard work on stage, but we’ll also get the chance to see them meeting their Malaysian fans and enjoying themselves in the resort.

The five episodes show will premiere on July 29th at 10:00PM (KST) and will start airing every Saturday at 8:00PM (KST) from its second episode which will air on August 7th.

MTV Wonder Girls launched in 2006 documenting the group’s preparations for their debut in 2007 and continued capturing the girl’s charms after debut with the subsequent seasons, becoming MTV Korea’s most successful local production. With three seasons under its wing, MTV is hoping to show the maturity the Wonder Girls have developed until now, both in their lives and their music.

Wonder Girls fans, get ready for some wonderful weeks as two reality programs featuring the girls will be airing back to back; MTV Wonder Girls Season 4 premiering on July 29th and Mnet’s Made in Wonder Girls on July 30th at 6:00PM!
