Wonder Girls’ Sunye had to see her father pass away during her group’s American tour. After suffering such lost, she decided to continue right away with her activities showing her strong will and determination as Wonder Girls’ leader and receiving praise by staff members during the tour.
On the latest episode of Mnet Made in Wonder Girls, which aired on September 3th, Wonder Girls’ managers and staff members sent heartfelt messages of encouragement to Sunye.
Some of them said,
“She suffered a terrible loss but they way she carried on in order not to worry other people was admirable. She is very mature for her age and like a true leader.”
“When I look at Sunye, I don’t feel as if she is young. She is thoughtful and even though she must have been both psychologically and physically exhausted, the way she put everything into her performances was touching. I want to applaud her.”
Sunye’s father passed away on June 24th, just one day before the start of the second leg of the tour, which would take place in Hawaii. Due to this unexpected event, they were forced to reschedule the Hawaiian concerts and start the tour in Vancouver on June 29th. For some, it might have seemed like it was still too soon for Sunye, but she decided to continue on like a true professional, bringing much joy to her fans and successfully completing Wonder Girls’ first American tour.
