Sina entertainment news. Beijing time February 4 morning news. According to Korean media reports, Korean girl group WONDER GIRLS canceled a tour of the USA that was to be held in end-February, as a result of team member SunMi’s announced exit. They also delayed the release date of their American debut album.
A JYP management associate recently divulged that WONDER GIRLS’s American tour could not be held as originally scheduled. The planned February release of WONDER GIRLS’s American debut album was also postponed.
This comprehensive revision of WONDER GIRLS’s American activities & calendar is largely caused by SunMi’s withdrawal from the group. The JYP company said that, even though newest member HaeLim will replace SunMi, a period of time is still needed for acclimatization.
With her announced exit, SunMi is currently organizing her life in America. After the POP-CON concert on February 20, she will conclude her WONDER GIRLS activities.
