WONDERGIRLS has restructured itself as a result of newest member HaeLim coming aboard. After SunMi’s announced withdrawal last month, the preceding plan was to involve her in group activities until late-February, & then begin to mix in HaeLim from the month of March. But the transition period has been brought forward somewhat.
Beginning February 4 with CF activities in Sanya, China [the city is located on Hainan island], HaeLim will publicly appear as a WONDERGIRLS member for the first time. To this end, she had parted company with the others on January 27 & then joined the group to go overseas to China on February 2. After finishing China promotions, she will head to America to participate in recording sessions for WONDERGIRLS’s official debut album.
WONDERGIRLS had begun recording for the debut album in America since late last year. Because the plan was to publish it in late February, SunMi had participated in the recordings. However, her abrupt decision to exit resulted in an unavoidable change. After careful deliberations over whether to keep SunMi’s vocals in the album, the decision was made to enroll HaeLim & let her re-record the parts. The anticipated album release date is also delayed till April or so.
Separately, SunMi is not involved in the China CF activities & has remained behind in New York. The JYP camp said that she will have already left WONDERGIRLS when the CF is aired, & was thus not included in the China promotions. SunMi will join the ‘Pop-Con Concert’ on February 20 at the Nassau Coliseum in America, before biding farewell to WONDER GIRLS.

Seriously i’m so pissed off..I’ve been waiting for the US album with Sunmi in it! And now they’re going to replace her voice just because Hae Lim’s joining? So unfair! I really want to hear SunMi for the last time before her real departure T_T
Her voice will still be in the chinese album guys…it makes no sense business wise for her voice to be on the english album when she won’t even be a part of the group. It would cause confusion for new fans. We should also be supporting Lim. This isn’t easy for her either. She’ll be away from her family and friends. She’ll also have a lot of unreasonable hate directed at her by the fans of the group she’s now a part of. Not to mention she’ll have to deal with being in a new country as well. :(

It’s sad for old fans but for new fans it’ll be more straightforward to have HaeLim’s vocal in the debut album. Remember how much confusion has been caused when Hyunah quits? Even until today there are still US sites that write Hyunah as WG members.
Remember that they’re rookies in US, people don’t know who they are and those who want to get to knowthem don’t really need the extra confusion.
Let’s not make mimi quitting more painful than it already is. I’m sure she feels aweful enough right now. She’s going to feel even worse if fans make big deal out of this.
Wonderfuls are mannerful fans. Let’s show Mimi and the rest of the girls that we love them by supporting wonder girls no matter what.

So funny! Have u guys notices how much attention this new member gettin. Coz i have watch her video with her old group and she was just a “background singer” who didn´t have any main singin or dance, those other member stod out more and now she gettin all attention. I feel sad for Sunmi coz it seem that JYP entertainment try to make like Sunmi never was a part of Wonder Girls by taking away all her singing part in this new album(she must feel heartbreaking,after all she was with the group for the past 3years).JYP should aleast put those song who already recorded with Sunmi voice as a bouns for the fans Wonderfuls!

seriously, although i’m chinese, its just so stupid to put that china girl in a korean group. i’ve been wg’s fan ever since the irony days, and see hyunah go was bad enough, now after almost 3 years sunmi is going on a hiatus?! damn wg is not going to succeed very well, they should have just stayed in korea, cos now what they’re doing is basically promoting the same old songs in different languages. any other wonderfuls share the same sentiments? i’m just really disappointed that my favourite girl group has gone into this situtaion.
