Korean Pop sensation ‘Wonder Girls’ tearing up the charts – News

Each member had to audition, American Idol style, and this 5 girl group is beating up the Korean pop scene. To choose the girls MTV did a show in South Korea where girls would sing songs by the Pussycat Dolls, Janet, and Destiny’s Child. The 5 winners made the group, named after the show which gave them their start MTV Wonder Girls.

They have scored 3 consecutive #1 hits, “Tell Me”, “So Hot”, and “Nobody”. The songs have english versions as well.

The Wonder Girls will be coming to the U.S. June 27th to tour with the Jonas Brothers starting in Portland. Wonder Girls are produced by singer-songwriter Park Jin-Young, and signed to his talent agency JYP Entertainment.

Ye Eun, Sun Ye, Sun Mi, Yubin, & Sohee make up the Wonder Girls.
